I don't see it as unfortunate really. What's the difference if they PR this week and the oontest starts next week or the just start it and PR the same day? If the artist is good, then it won't matter either way. Look at the Respect the Jux contest. They didn't PR the start of that contest when it started because they previously PR'd about it. But yes, it is unfortunate that they would be afraid to PR something because of over zealous investors harrassing artists . But such is life I suppose.
