The curious thing about wireless backhaul is the fact that a wire brings electricity to all these towers, fixtures, antennas and assorted equipment. Just how many venues actually require wireless in order to connect with the network system when an electrical cable is obviously already in place to provide power, ie the wire providing electrical service got there somehow. LMDS equipment, which has such rain fade problems that the distance between towers is short, would still require electricity. How is providing and maintaining all those extra remote electrical connections economically feasible?
