Tr, thanks for the great post. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Am no authority on cell phones, period, do not even own one, but what I 'think' I have just picked up from your post and the links provided thereon, is that 'WiFi' (and/or WiFi chips) stands for a 'new' kind of 'network' that is not (cannot be) restricted to use by one carrier (such as T-Mobile) and that some carriers (including T-Mobile) are 'reluctantly' getting into this 'emerging' technolohy by having companies (like Hop-on) develop (and SELL ??????????) phones using this 'new WiFi chip'. And it is the 'end-user' of this phone carrier service (ie., network) and not the 'initiating' caller that will have to carry the burden of cost (for service). Am I somewhere in the ballpark here????.......
