In my opinion you are all missing the subtext in the update given. He said what he could say via a blog, and let you know that a PR was coming. He has also stated that PRs would be announced when material events happen. Now you take it from there.

Figure it out folks, no one doe business over New Years weekend to put a PR out weeks down the road. For the first time in a long time I think the word "imminent" might actualy apply here.
