I had called Etrade almost two weeks ago to ask them if they traded on the Frankfort Exchange. After checking around, the person I talked with on the telephone assured me that they indeed traded on the Frankfort Exchange. Since I didn't have an Etrade account, I went through the process of opening both a regular equity account and a global account for the GRAFF shares. To open the account I transfered some equity positions plus the GRAFF divi shares.
When I tried to transfer over the GRAFF shares, I received an alert that I should contact their office. When I called I was told that I wouldn't be able to transfer over the GRAFF shares until the IPO executed. I decided to recheck Etrade about the transfer of the divi shares, so I called today and was told by a supervisor that they do NOT trade on the Frankfort Exchange, and therefore I wouldn't be able to trade the GRAFF shares at IPO time. If I had known that from the start, I would have transfered the shares over to my Merrill Lynch account. My question is has anyone with an Etrade Global account been told that Etrade can trade on the Frankfort Exchange? Any comments would be most helpful!
