I'm not familiar with that retail environment. So Manufacturing can just walk into a store and tell the retailer what to do?

It's not WNBD responsibility of Spartan's internal or lack of internal communication between Spartan and its own stores or approximately 350 independent grocery stores in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.

Independent meaning what it means, independent, but likely strongly encourage. The encouragement of a 'customer' is all it took for it to happen.

There is business politics/procedures/policies to follow (aka chain of command). It can be frustrating to a manufacturer, but an army of consumers can be helpful to a brand if they choose their energy to be spent in helpful ways imo.

This is where word of mouth can help in these communities. Someone buys it at Spartans tells someone else and if they don't find it the consumer asks..and that stores gets it in and stocked. Would I like them all stocked 100% perfect. We all do from the standpoint of WNBD and its long shareholders.

Unfortunately Spartans and its stores are not priority A retailers/distibutors (when time is limited in a day/week/etc.), but we all like them to be treated important...it just doesn't happen in business.

If have to choose between Canadian Tire/Lowes or Spartans...work with the nationals and large distributors like Lancaster/Five Star imo.

Do your own due diligence; factors and conditions change.
