Just so I'm clear is everyone here saying Maj (white_tiger) is completely off base here with the appraisal? From his posts he sounds credible, intelligent and sensible. I don't know him to have an agenda so could it be his source that did the appraisal is completely off base? Honestly, I find it a bit hard to believe that he is so far off base but I don't know what to think.

Some questions:
1. What are the qualifications of the person doing the appraisal?
2. Does that individual work for a company that specialized in doing appraisals in China?
3. Can land really be worth so much less just 2 1/2 hour drive from Beijing. I know in the US it can certainly be a huge difference. You can have a rich area and a slum area just miles apart with a big difference in property value.
