Ethicon Endo-Surgery cited a shift in its strategic priorities within gastroenterology and other areas as the reason for ending the relationship.

This kind of thing happens a lot with JNJ’s operating divisions. I would submit that PillCam was simply a bad fit with Ethicon Endo—a business unit devoted to surgery.

The same kind of thing may now be happening with PurTox and Ethicon.
