A washing machine overflowed upstairs while the tenant left the rental a few doors down where I live. The contractors needed some money upfront for materials, and the landlord couldn't wait for insurance money. It's just how things workout for anyone that has dealt with insurance companies before. The couple had to move out completely while the repairs were taking place for 3 months! Thanks for the insight.
