First, Shirley Maclaine is not a draw. When we find out how much was paid/pledged for the distribution rights, we'll know what this deal is all about. The film is not in production yet so this "pre-buy" could be a way for the filmmakers to raise the money to get the film made. This is a no loose situation for both sides. If the filmmakers raise the money because they secured the almighty "distribution deal", all is great. If they can't get it done, HH has no monetary responsibility and no blame.

Now if they can just get the pesky press release out to the mainstream press and hollywood community, they might see a pop in the stock price.
