The new Xperia Arc and remember all new Sony-Ericsson phones will come pre-installed with a Neoreader barcode scanner.

I like this quote:

In an October report on smartphone shipments during the third quarter of 2010, Strategy Analytics analyst Neil Mawston grouped Sony Ericsson with Motorola and LG Electronics and described them as having missed “much of the boom in premium 3G smartphones.” Going forward, however, Mawston warned that the top players will need to watch their backs, as Sony Ericsson and the like are finding their strides.

Crammed into its thin shell is a 4.2-inch multi-touch screen with ‘Reality Display’ and mobile BRAVIA Engine.

Plus, a Sony Exmor R for enhanced low-light photography and video capture, an 8.1 megapixel camera, HD video recording and of course the good old Android market.

There’s also a few snazzy treats chucked into the mix as well such as a NeoReader barcode scanner, 3D games, Wi-Fi, turn-by-turn navigation, the list goes on and on. (check out the source link for full specs.)
