Cpbball-"the annual return on the stock market is historically between 10% - 12% per year (depending on which index you look at, etc)"

Unfortunately, another statistic is that 85 to 90% of retail investors LOSE MONEY over time in the markets, so the 10-12% gain doesn't do THEM any good.
