Headquartered in Vancouver, Ultraguard is a public company providing ultra-violet (UV) water purification systems for global potable water markets. The company's products include UV systems powered by magnesium fuel cell technology (developed by MagPower Systems Inc.) for which it has a worldwide license. The UltraGuard™' Point-of-Use ultraviolet unit purifies the full water flow of a household faucet while the UltraFlo Point-of-Entry is attached to the incoming municipal water supply and purifies the full flow into the building. The UltraFlo system is an excellent polisher that can be added to varying types of existing disinfection systems. Since people consistently drink water from a few sources on a daily basis, for many months or for many years, chronic exposure to contaminants in water is a major carcinogenic concern which can be eliminated with the addition of an UltraGuard™ UltraFlo product. The combined UltraFlo and fuel cell product is marketed under the brand name UltraFuel Cell and will be manufactured at UltraGuard's sister company in Austria; UltraGuard Water Systems GmbH. The product will be sold through companies licensed to both manufacture and market the product.
