Hi Deb,

A Heart Attack, Wow. Well an EKG would show changes after the event, however at his age he most likely does not have a Normal EKG rhythm to begin with. There are Cardiac Enzymes in the blood that will be, an remain elevated for up to several days after a Cardiac Event. Someone along the line must have decided to do a Cardiac Work up, just to check. I'm thinking his Cardiac Event was not a big one because I'm sure he was on a Cardiac Monitor from the min. of his procedure, till now. A full Blown Cardiac Event, well, you would have to be Blind as to not see it happening on the Monitor.
