AAA.V is one of the potential cartel breakers here imo. Chindia and Brazil have been, and are reluctantly importing millions of tonnes of price fixed potash to feed their burgeoning populations, as their respective middle classes enter and start to consume a new class of higher food chain products.

China, India and Brazil are the largest consumer nations facing the cartels. They, the foresaid consumers, have incredible power in that they are not facing massive sovereign debts, bubble currencies and fat, stupid inhabitants.

There are many other emerging nations suffering from the same situation.

This link is the simplest description I can find to outline the current situation.

How do they (Chindia, Brazil and other large ag procuct producers/potash consumers) break free, and will they even try? I think they will "try" and I think their attempts will be successful.

BHP tried to take over the largest cartel with their run at Potash Corp, and were appropriately rebuffed imo. BHP being the largest mining corp on the globe has an exec compensation problem imo. Their top execs need growth to qualify for, and suck back the outrageous bonuses that their "out of control" boards of directors have stupidly granted them in advance of realized gains.

These ridiculous compensation plans played havoc on our financial markets in the past decade, led to the outsourcing of the western world manufacturing base to the emerging world, and with it, the transferecnce of our skills/industrial/technology secrets to their markets. Greed at the top in the short term imo.

Without massive growth, the execs at firms like BHP, have to settle for puny salaries in the 10's or hundred of millions of dollars per year. If they can't show huge growth, and suck back huge production based bonuses, then they have to find other things to amuse their power hungry, reality starved lives imo.

So having ridiculed/criticized these corporate lifestyles, that I can only imagine, (and I think these people are very dangerous to our own quality of life here in the West), I tbink that AAA.V and AMZ.V are a couple of the very best vehicles that the cartel victims can work with to keep the greedy Western corporate potash executive bastids at bay.

There is no link for this story, as I just wrote it after some thoughts back on the past year, AND a few Bushmills.

I'd like to stress that this posting is ALL just my FREE OPINION, and I have no high powered lawyers at my disposal in the event that some corp dog decides to bite me.

Happy New Year.
