Mr. Guyer is very forthcoming about the information he provides. But seriously, do you think he is going to give you any information that couldn't be put out on the street? In fact, he is probably way more cautious than he needs to be.
Why would you bother telling the board you sent an email and received a response if there was nothing you could tell the board? If you are afraid that you might be violating some level of confidence, at least let us know that what he said was encouraging, or not.
