Drama at Death Valley Junction
I am hearing a far different story than what has been getting spread around about the DVJ project in the past. I'd like to share that story here because if it is true it paints a picture of a sweet woman, Ms. Beckett, being taken advantage of by some very dishonest people. On top of that it disputes the story that Rich Rengell shared about liens and unpaid contractors. I can't say for sure every detail of this story is true, but I think it definitely deserves a lot more attention and that is why I am sharing it on here. Please read the following and make your own opinions. I'm sharing the story word for word as it was shared with me:
Dennis and Rich are like twins. Rich let the algae farm project setup shop without a lease then made many trips with Dennis to other project sites to steal pumps and other supplies paid for by other investors. It was all brought to DVJ. When the heat started on Dennis, Rich took control by reminding Dennis that he had no legal right to be there,(no lease) This is how rich steals businesses. A double con job. Dennis splits, Rich takes control, then cons one of the investors of the DVJ project into giving him 50K to finish the project then says trust me, I'll geterdone. Dumb as a broken fence post, but a smart criminal. This information documented by reliable witnesses and available when someone takes a legal action to stop a crime. FYI, there is no lein on record.
A check with the Inyo County Assesors office and the Clerk and Recorder shows no recorded leins. Part of the investigation into Rich's scam is to find out what was behind a secret signing of documents by Ms. Beckett about 3 weeks ago. The New Board members from Ridgecrest and elsewhere were present. Only Rich and Mary Lee's friends on the Board were present.(very secret) except Mary Lee has a big mouth and was telling everyone that "the Board was having a special meeting for Marta to sign some papers". All part of the on going investigation.
Make no mistake about those facts. His girl friend in Mary Lee and she is just as much a part of the that whole mess. She has been helping Rich brainwash and con Marta Beckett out of her property for 3 years. In 2010 Rich showed Ms. Beckett how to hold a board meeting without the members present, then install new members,(friends of Rich and Mary lee) and make Rich a director. The original board members are now seeking action against that process. Rich and Mary Lee both say they wish Marta were dead because now they could get things done. Postings on the Web yesterday says Rich and Mary lee strong armed into the little Cafe at the Junction (a private owned company called the Amargosa Cafe), stole the money, turned off the power and forced every one to leave. Sherriff couldn't do anything because Rich says he is in control of the property. More to come on this latest scam by Bubba
Rich Regnell made his next calculated move towards total control of the Amargosa Opera house and Hotel Friday by forcefully taking control of the privately owned business named the Amargosa Cafe. Since May, 2009 that business has been owned and operated by Theresa Cantwell and her husband. Even though the Inyo County sherriff was called, their hands were tied because Rich Regnell said he is in control of the property. Marta Beckett is losing everything to this con man and his girl friend Mary Lee. It is possible that the new board member named Gail from Ridgecrest is parts of Rich's scam. She reports that Marta Beckett is bright and chipper. Fact is(witness available) Marta has a broken right arm and shoulder, is in room #1 day and night with no radio, phone, TV, or communication with anyone outside without Rich being present.(control) Since they are now alerted to an investigation they are busting their butts to make Marta look chipper. Ms. Beckett has been brain washed for the past 2 years into believing that if anything happens to Rich or Mary Lee, Ms.Beckett will be taken away to a nursing home. This is all part of Rich's master plan. He has control of the money and property of the Opera House and Hotel, and for now the Cafe. A sitting Judge was not available in Inyo county over the weekend to sign an Emergency Restraining Order against Rich. That happens on Monday. The abuse, stealing and con scam is all real. Inside informants are telling the truth. Anyone listening?

Amargosa Opera House It was brought to my attention that amargosa cafe owned by Theresa and Larry was broken into. Locks were changed and officials were sent in.
