Pawson, like so many other investor/speculators, maded "seed" money available to these start up companies on very strict and hard terms.
These companies present business plans and objectives they intend to achieve...when they don't the investor is entitled to enforce the return of his invest according to the terms of the agreement. In many cases the companies rarely survive...but they had their shot and failed!.
That's my take on all this... usually the shareholders take the brunt of these deals' losses. That's penny land
