When compared to the everolimus trial, the rida results were anything but "similar". In the everolimus trial, efficacy (CR, PR or SD) was seen in just 13%(arm I)of pts. Why the difference in results? Well, for one thing everolimus and rida forolimus are NOT the same drug. Everolimus doses at 10mg, rida at 40mg "which results in very high exposure, very high and reliable inhibition of mTOR activity in pharmacodynamic studies, substantial blood levels and circulating levels of inhibitory mTOR activity." Of course, as Barry suggests, we can just wait a couple of weeks and get our answer.
