I expect selling interest, as people who bought

at.0060 and above use the opportunity to right off on taxes.

Only if they bought at 0.006 a year ago, or sold before December started. Else it gets caught up in the wash rule for non-declared traders, and gets carried into next year. The big kids can do as you suggested in their trades, and mark to market, but there are no big kids in LLEG.
