Sounds done to me, Chewy . . . . .

Consider this statement:

"Management has now proceeded to the finalization stage of the Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) on the Alto de Lipangue property in Chile . A recent series of meetings conducted in both Miami, Florida, and Santiago, Chile has resulted in a conclusionary JVA encompassing all issues and legalities necessary, and legally required of each of the respective parties"

This VERY CLEARLY says that THE DEAL IS DONE. How else can anyone read the statement that "A recent series of meetings...has resulted in a conclusionary JVA...". Taking into consideration JJ's apparent penchant for flowery language, this could not be any clearer. The papers have been signed. The deal is done. All that's left is the actual transfer of the money. Do you seriously believe that this deal can now be reneged on without serious consequences to the defaulting party ??? Is that what you're peddling now ???

"My only reservation with this update is that originally we were supposed to get a two part jva."

Really ?? Who said so ?? Not the company. You are really stretching to try to find something to complain about here, but go ahead.

"And today's update was supposed to be official, and even on some wires."

This was posted on the company's web site. Please explain how it's not "official".

"But now they are saying this update was just a "gift to the longs", so that the longs can back up the truck before the "big one". "

They. They who ??? The company didn't say that. You are referring to some bulletin board chatter by interested third parties, not an official comment from the company. Please stay focused on FACTS, not third party opinions.

"As far as the update, it doesn't sound like the jva is set in stone."

See my comments above. Again, since you obviously missed it (or are deliberately choosing to ignore it), here's what the company said: "A recent series of meetings...has resulted in a conclusionary JVA...". It's done. As in irrevocably done.

"They didn't say that the JVA will be completed on or before the 15, they simply stated that it is "anticipated" to happen."

I didn't read the word "anticipated" in the PR at all. Now you are just making stuff up. Oh, maybe you're trying to hang your hat on the word "If" in this sentence: "If all matters proceed as stated and planned, Cerro Dorado, Inc. will call for and host an Annual General Meeting for Shareholders that will be scheduled on or about the end of February, 2011. " You conveniently forgot the next several words, especially these: "AS STATED AND PLANNED". I will grant you that the word "if" does introduce a very minute possibility of something going wrong, but only if you also agree that the probability of such an adverse event is so low as to be a 1 in 10,000 possibility. And if you agree with my assessment, then you should no longer bring this issue up. If you don't agree, then you are truly trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, which means you have an agenda here. Well, what's it gonna be....?????

"Do you think there may be a reason why they didn't put this update out as an official nr, or as part A of the official 2 part JVA?"

No. Nothing suspicious here, IMHO. No boogey man. No monsters hiding under the bed or in the closets. No reason at all to think there's a problem because this didn't appear as a release on MarketWire. You're grasping at straws here.

"One thing is for sure, everyone saying it's done, and that this update "proves it" are wrong. This update doesn't prove anything..."

Wrong. Again, see my comments at the top about "A recent series of meetings...has resulted in a conclusionary JVA...". Also, the first sentence of the update clearly states they have finished the negotiations. Please read it (again): "Management has now proceeded to the finalization stage of the Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) on the Alto de Lipangue property in Chile "

"It seems last time management believed we could get something done on time (ie pre X-mas JVA) they were wrong."

You don't know when this was done. The negotiations were most likely finished before Christmas and the company decided to wait (for whatever reasons) until today, just after the holidays, to release it. My personal belief is that the longest and most arduous part of the process is done. The news flow will increase markedly from here.

"History ain't over yet my friends, but at least the stock is making moves."

Yeah, it is over. And please don't refer to me as one of your "friends", particularly considering the hostile negativity and condescending attitude that you have displayed towards the rest of us since you showed up here several weeks ago.

Have a nice night and a better tomorrow. I know I will....
