from what I was reading this am, the land they bought was previously a huge producer of ree, if the land isnt played out, they should be able to get it back into production, china has a third of the worlds resources, but are the main producer, so might not be a bubble, might be a field that needs very bady to be expanded, Japan is trying to get mongolia to get into the ree business.

Two big producers also are ramping up production: Lynas Corp. in Australia and Molycorp Inc. in the U.S. Molycorp recently began blasting in an open-pit mine in the California desert that had been the world's dominant rare-earth supplier before mining stopped in 2002. Molycorp shares were up 6.8% Tuesday afternoon in New York.
