Would you share what he said? In other words, did he give an indication as to the role e.Digital would play or the significance of the revenue expected?
From what I understand he has refused to confirm this to anyone else who has inquired. If he was letting you know about material revenue, that could be selective disclosure of material non-public information.
However, given typical Putnamese, being paid for every embedded player sold could mean a "royalty" of a couple of dollars per system. That is immaterial.
What I find disturbing if he did indeed confirm revenue per embedded system sold by Wencor is that it would imply significant revenue and perhaps placate anxious shareholders.
IMO, e.Digital should publicly clarify what kind of agreement they have with Wencor for the installed system and the expected revenue per system sold, assuming there is any.
