That pump and dump crap happens continually and mainly with american penny stocks. There are 100s maybe 1000s of penny stock websites pumping the living daylights out of these companies that are complete frauds. Obviously, not all of the companies in these pump and dumps are frauds, but 99% are ridiculously horrible and have no business being traded as a company or are just complete frauds. I think the one thing with the china small caps is that many have some sort of recognition and have some funds in them(most not a lot, but many have some to a degree). That is what makes it more of a target by these known sources trying to discredit it. Plus, it is obviously an easier target for them as China is on the other side of the world and most cannot do on site diligence.
