Hang in there. When one door closes - two more open.

Network - I was laid off was a job I worked at for 17 years. Mini computer company which were rocking in the 80's and 90's and I ended up working for someone I worked with there for the last 14 years for a software company.

It is all about prior work contacts - they know you and the work you will do.
