that's pure b.s. deception in my book. if you promise somebody something, then you had better keep your word or offer up a good explanation. without that, it's just deception, hiding, or flat out lying.

p.s. i said management, not the current CEO as you have assumed. by saying managemernt, i include all management without knowing specifically who or whom... it may very well be one or more people acting this way per their group business agenda.
btw, the current CEO is interim.
