IMO the reason that CPTC hasn't sold millions of dollars of product by now is that the electrical transmission industry as a whole has very little incentive to increase efficiency or profits. With such a large part of that industry being owned by PUBLIC utility companies or publically subsidized companies why should the managements of these companies invest millions of dollars in a NEW ( notice I didn't say novel) product.

The answer to increasing power demands in the past has been to build more generating capacity. That takes at least five years or more from planning to completion. Building new transmission lines takes every bit as long. When/if the ones who build new transmission lines realize CPTC can put money in their pockets by increasing the amount of delivered power then CPTC sales will skyrocket. Maybe reliability standards mandated in an energy bill will spur that investment. Unless we have another major blackout like 08/14/2003 this summer I think CPTC is dead in the water domestically for at least 6 months. China? Who knows?
