MagPower Systems Inc.


MagPower has developed and filed two patents on controlling the formation of hydrogen in the Magnesium-Air Power Cell (MAPC) and in the zinc electrowinning process.

MagPower is in the process of testing this hydrogen controlling process (IP) in other applications:

Electrowinning (nickel, copper)
Hydrogen Embrittlement
Alkaline Batteries
Electroplating
Metal-Air Fuel Cells (zinc, aluminum)
Anodizing
Coolants
By controlling hydrogen formation, in some of the above applications the current efficiency is increased resulting in the reduction of power consumption and energy savings. In others (above applications) the longevity of the life of the products is increased.

AKAtech prossesses experience for many years in development, manufacturing and assembling of electromechanical modules and systems.

The factory - situated in Frankenmarkt since 1988 - was founded by the Quante Group for the production of a great variety of interconnection technologies for telecommunication. After the Quante Group was bought by 3M, the site in Frankenmarkt could be taken over by five staff members.
