China has committed to host the Olympic games in 2008. They are going to be doing tremendous amounts of construction of new infrastructure in the areas where visitors to the Olympics will see. They do not want to lose FACE. I'm not familar with the geography of China and I have no idea what kind of distances are involved between Bejing and the Three Gorges Power projects. However I am sure that power transmission lines from that area to Bejing and the Olympic sites will be #1 on their priority list. With the short time frame the Chinese are facing IMO if they haven't cut a workable deal with CPTC by October of this year it ain't gonna happen. JMHO.
