Head cold remedies: What worked for me and what didn't.
I've had a really stuffy nose the past 3 days. Stopped up to the point where I was breathing through my mouth while I slept, which is miserable.
On Thursday I bought 4 stuffy-nose remedies and here is how they worked.
4-Way Fast Acting Nasal Spray... worked extremely well, but I found myself repeating the dosage more often than I would prefer. And it didn't do any better job than plain old saline spray.
Ayr Saline Nasal Mist... worked as good as the (more expensive) 4-way.
Breathe Right Vapor Strips... fantastic. I had never tried Breathe Right products, but these vapor strips worked really well and allowed me to get a good night's sleep last night.
SudaCare Nightime Plug-In... Not so hot. Seven bucks for a little device you plug in to an outlet, and then you insert a little moist pad that is saturated with eucalyptus oil and camphor. You get seven pads in the box. Didn't work very well.
So that's your on-the-scene reporter coming to you live from the head cold ward. Film at 11:00.
