This is correct as far as the company goes, however, if a few investors have bought large amounts of shares, they can effectively control the action of the stock. With leaked 'PRs' and rumors they can control the run and sell off to the investors when they choose, which is kind of like organized dilution. It is dangerous to get involved with stocks that have a few investors that own large amounts of shares.
