SHANGHAI, Dec 07, 2010 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Taobao.com,
the largest B2C online marketplace in Asia, stated in a December 6 press release
that Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. (SEHK: 0175) set up a flagship store on the
website.

Online sales has been playing an increasingly important role in information
distribution, shopping, service and auto marketing. Online resources can bring
surprises to the Chinese auto industry, according to Geely Group vice president
and Geely sales general manager Liu Jinliang.

Taobao.com executives also air that more and more auto companies will sell
vehicles online along with the e-commerce development.

The first model that Geely will debut online will be 1.3L-5MT Pandas, and
following models will include double-color Pandas specially launched for online
customers, in terms of the press release.

Customers can test drive the cars for online sales and enjoy maintenance and
repair services at 4S stores, but the sedans just can be bought online, which is
a differentiated marketing strategy, Liu Jinliang adds.

Geely Automobile Holdings company sold 242,721 cars in the first eight months,
expanding by 31 percent from the period of last year, and the figure accounted
for 60.7 percent of 400,000 sedans planned to be sold entire this year.
