One other thing - could the company claim that THEY were defrauded by the company doing the N1 report and it was due to their misconduct the report had the wrong name on it??

No way. The "report" was supposedly compiled by a nonexistent entity. I really wonder who was responsible for the content. Wouldn't have been all that hard to do; it was based entirely on historical information, which a real NI 443-101 isn't.

And I've seen some incredibly stupid things done over the years.
