Short selling is when you borrow shares from your broker to sell, you do not own them the idea is the drive the price down and replace them at a desired price... This hit 3.29 yesterday and the shorts starting selling they might replace them at anytime within a day of shorting. If you have a Margin account with your broker and do not have a sell price set for your shares they are being loaned out and you have no control of it. Since it takes 48 hours for shares to settle in your account no one will ever know the shares ever left the account. I hope this helps.
