SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Standard & Poor's said Wednesday it raised their ratings outlook on American Capital Ltd. (ACAS) to stable from negative on the firm's reduced leverage. S&P has a B- long-term counterparty credit rating on American Capital. "The rating action follows ACAS's significant reduction of debt both at the time of its June 2010 debt exchange and during and after third-quarter 2010," said Sebnem Caglayan, an S&P credit analyst, in a statement.
