Here are some pictures of the conveyor system that CWRN purchased and set up to unload, stack, and load iron ore onto the barges for the first couple of shipments until the dredging is complete. It turns out the company does not need a lay-down yard after all, the ore will be dumped into the off-loading hopper, onto the stacking conveyor, and then onto the barges with not even a singe person needed to handle it.
Let's sum up:
17 pieces of heavy mining equipment on site - check.
Large stockpiles of already crushed ore - check.
4th and final magnetic separator - arriving very shortly.
Contract for heavy-haul transportation to the port - check.
Port equipment - check :)
First shipment date - January 2011, TBA.
