Doesn't matter if you can or cannot dilute a "D" stock. Company cannot issue new shares when its shareholders haven't received its new shares from the split. That would be illegal. I think moneymade nailed it on the head and brokers have screwed up and let its customers sell shares under the old Cussip number. Those shares should have been restricted until the new shares were received under the new Cussip number.
