Natural gas is a nice "bridge" for the next 20-30 years until a better alternative is found. Factories, trucking fleets, and buses can be converted to run on ng. The US will begin exporting liquid natural gas in the next 4-5 years, since we have so much.

Nuclear will be the energy of choice going forward, especially in China and India.
