cork, I look at tons of charts every day too because they give a snapshot of investor sentiment over a given period. Sometimes I make a decision based on them but I usually have a longer view. The company fundamentals and level of my trust in management are more important for my investing. POG or S&P charts are more helpful than individual companies. My problem with charting companies is that every investor sees them at the same time and probably reaches a similar conclusion. If you are nimble and trade first I guess you can beat the crowd but the MMs and computer algorhythims will always win. As you pointed out the pinks are more manipulated than the big market.

Something like SGCP, after developing a position over years, just feels safer. We know all the potential and dangers. Long investors will always have an edge since the chart will not reflect a problem until after the fact.
