From what I've researched---yes--MMMG and some of their past associations have created a tainted track record. Thus, any "horses" related to them may be questionable and a longshot---Sometimes being painted by the same brush based on previous disappointments create an opportunity---the "Longshot"--- Over the years---I've seen many come in!
