well thats the beauty of a short squeeze anyone holding shares can sell to anyone else, the shorts have to buy how many they have to buy in the time frame they have to buy them. Most of these shares will trade 5 times over from person to person untill they go to a short and cancel out. and the price will rise as it goes along, sooner or later someone will sell to the shorts, when the price is high enough But in theory if everyone or most people hold and dont sell price can keep rising, but we all know that sooner or later it will be high enough for everyone to be willing to sell
