Obama is setting himself up to be the economic savior, but he knows that congresional democrats will not support him. Therefore, there will be a fight over taxes, they will not be any deal, and taxes will go up. Obama can then blame congress, praise himself for not wanting it to happen, and continue to fight over a tax structure all next year.

Regan cut taxes and said; "Now they will have to cut spending". Obamas strategy is the opposite (although never publically stated); 'Spend, spend, spend, and then they must increase taxes'.

Anyway, as this approaches 31 Dec, watch your money.
