Actually, the world's largest oil "field" is, to my knowledge, about 130 miles southwest of where I live in Colorado, in the Green River Formation. It's thought to be hundreds of billions of barrels. Too bad it's all locked up in shale, and would require at least half as much energy to extract as it would provide, and many times more water than is available...
