I would be interested in finding out just why Cortex selected SA for their make or break indication.

I just chalk it up to stupidity. From the moment this debacle began I argued it was the wrong indication. Even a cursory reading of articles on existing SA clinical trials would have revealed what a mess they were getting themselves into (see "Pharmacological approaches to the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea" Kohler et al. 2009; this review is too recent but much of the literature they cite was available at the trial's start). I had no idea what a disaster it was going to turn out to be.

I think the trial produced nothing, and they are trying to maintain share price while they figure out an exit strategy.

My mistake was focusing on the IP.
