Basically, the author of the article did not contact him and john is not happy about being the only person named in the article and did not take lightly being accused of what the article was suggesting, we talked a lot about what is already known about the socially responsible components of our company and how the author has no clue about what sgcp represents for the people we work with.
He is going to try and get in touch with the author of the article and inform him about the mistake of lumping our company in with the other irresponsible companies.
We also talked about our relationship with the Government, which we already know about: We work directly with the paramount cheifs and our agreements are with them. We deal with the gosl just to pay for the permits in Freetown.
He couldn't comment As far as any large deal for billions of dollars with the GOSL, except to say that we do have significant mining properties we acquired over the last couple of years, but the potential dollar amount will be unknown until we start full scale mining/dredging operations this season.
He said it will take him a few days to deal with this, that Doug does not know about it, so he will be talking with Doug, then the company attorney, then perhaps issuing a statement in reaction to it afterward.
I am sure more about this will unfold as John deals with the situation on his end.
Good luck everyone.....
