jw..the current (portable player) is not in any way connected to the aircraft. If the embedded DP was connected to the Aircrafts electrical system, the mfgr. would have to go through some pretty through certification tests to prove that it will not disrupt aircraft navigation and that the installation will not affect other systems. There are crash worthiness tests that have to be performed or demonstrated to the FAA on anything attached to the aircraft. Trust me..it is way different.. Wencor has engineers on staff that do this sort of thing. It is a slow process.
