Lets take a trip to dreamland. Basu owns nearly 3 billion shares right. They are rumored to have bought back 800 million a few months back. Maybe they have a billion now. Thats 4 billion of the float locked down. That leaves 1.5 billion shares. This board owns half of that. Now lets pretend Basu retires her shares for some sort of concession on the companys' part. Then lets pretend they retire the 1 billion shares they bought. Back. Then lets pretend they retire the other 2.5 billion they never released onto the market. Based on projected earnings what would be PPS on 1.5 billion floating common stock shares? Anyone want to work this equation out.
