Good luck talking to a trader about it....I've been given such silly "excuses", especially when my purchase won't go through for weeks and weeks, yet you see tons of other similar trades go through, at MY limit order price. I've "squeezed" out of traders that there are many, many games that the MMs play, even preferring one brokerage to another, etc....Usually they would tell me "Just hang in there, and eventually it should go through". I don't think it is intentional "painting" of your trades only, but I'm sure your broker will give you some sort of "lame" excuse. It's an MMs world of profitability, and it all stinks.
