Bob, the reasons that posters post should not be a topic for discussion on stock boards.

In any discussion, many points of view are possible. Where many stray over the line is when they question the motives of those who post views contrary to their own.

Those motives may be altruistic, selfish, or any of a dozen other motivations including just for the entertainment value.

It seems that conspiratorial paranoia has reached epidemic proportions - not everyone who disagrees with us is an agent or partner in some evil conspiracy (as entertaining as that speculation might be).

There are posters who never post anything other than questions and comments about the motives of other posters. If it were up to me, all of them would be banned... at least after the 100th post containing nothing but comments about other posters even if they are only referred to as a group...
