The lab unit was a science experiment. My review of the technology as it is today appears to be commercial production.
Why is it a science experiment at this point?
Wouldn't you agree that for expansion they need something that can be outdoors and survive?
They would if they were producing 100,000 bbls/day. They are processing 4 barrels per hour.
You are right about weather being a problem, but usually that is just a matter of ordering equipment that can survive the environment. The system will regulate, and find it's own temperature.

Tell me more. In all my years experience with "outdoor" refining both up and downstream, we've never had equipment that regulates itself to find its own temperature.
Please explain your statements.
